The following items were send to me for free, so I could review them. As always when I write a sponsored post, the fact that I received these for free, will not affect my opinion in any way!
After covering the topic of Asian skincare earlier this month, it's time to introduce the world to some more cute Asian things. You gotta love the Asian culture, right? ;)
Do you guys know Tasty Peach Studios? Tasty Peach Studios is the cutest webshop you've ever seen, I promise you that! ;) Think cute, sweet, adorable and kawaii! But what is "kawaii" exactly?
According to Wikipedia, the word kawaii means lovable, cute or adorable. The word is used in the Japanese culture to measure the quality of cuteness and became a prominent aspect of Japanese popular culture, entertainment, clothing, food, toys, personal appearance and behavior. The original definition of kawaii came from Lady Murasaki, a Japanese novelist and poet. (Lady Murasaki also was the Japanese aunt of Hannibal Lecter in the movie "Hannibal Rising", by the way. Just a quick fact in between! ;) Haha!) but as the years went by, the word kawaii was being used more often to describe cute handwritings and cute merchandise in the 70's, 80's and later on. The kawaii style is known for the large eyes, the cheerful colors, the happiness and, of course, the overal cuteness. Think Hello Kitty and Pokemon, to give you some examples. Click on the Wikipedia link above to learn more about Kawaii.
Tasty Peach Studios, located in Mishawaka, Indiana, is the leader distributor in cute products. It's a sweet, unique boutique that sells cute merchandise inspired by Japan. They started out selling small hand made clay charms and commissioned artwork through their little Etsy shop in 2007. Since then they have grown exponentially. They now attend upwards of 30+ anime conventions a year & ship high quality acrylic items, professionally made products and more world wide every day.
I had the chance to choose a charm and a lanyard of their accessories collection and I can't wait to show you all that cuteness! ;)
Charms and lanyards aren't typically what I normally review here at Reviewed By Natje, but because of the overwhelming cuteness of the webshop, and my obsession with Asian things and kawaii, I decided to make an exception this time.
Look at that! ;)
Choosing just 1 charm and 1 lanyard wasn't an easy task, they all look so cute, sweet and well, "kawaii like", obviously, but I managed to choose a charm and a lanyard after all, after much deliberation! ;)
Here's is the package I received:
The package arrived in a bubble wrap enveloppe, to keep your delivery save. Inside the bubble wrap, there was this cute pink organza bag, filled with my cute goodies! ;)
I choose two items of the Grumpy Sheep collection, because they match (obviously) and because I think that cute little black sheep is the most adorable thing in the whole shop! ;) "Grumpy sheep is tired of everything and needs a snuggle." That sounds so familiar, I just couldn't resist! ;)
The Grumpy Sheep Metal Charm is suspended from a black cell strap. The charm is 1.15 inches big and is made from metal with enamel paint.
Isn't she the cutest? :) It's kinda hard to see on the pictures, but did you see that adorable little hart on her bottom? It reminds me of My Little Pony! ;)
All charms come with a cell phone plug, so you can attach it to your phone, and they're hypoallergenic and nickel free, so you can wear it around your neck on the lanyard too, if you like.
Mine is beautifying my cell phone as we speak! ;)
Do you see that adorable little hart on her bottom now? ;) She really is too cute, don't you think?
Yes, that's right, I still use the Samsung Galaxy S5. It's over 2 years old now, but still is working as a charm, so I don't need a new phone yet... ;)
The charms aren't exclusive for cell phones, obviously, you can attach them to everything, from bags, lanyards, zippers to mobile game devices too, if you like. The possibilities are endless and it's your choice after all! :)
Like I mentioned before, I chose the matching Grumpy Sheep Lanyard.
These lanyards are made of silky soft material that doesn't irritate the skin. They have a 5/8" wide band with a 36" circumference and the images on them are permanent and will not be rubbed or washed off. They can be used to hold keys, ID tags, and badges at conventions. And you can even personalize them more by attaching a matching (or non matching) charm or some buttons.
I own quite some big handbags. I do have a bag organizer, with a small lanyard like thingy to attach your keys to, but although the bag organizer is the most convenient tool ever, that key thingy isn't. I use this lanyard to attach my keys, that way I don't have to search my entire bag to find my keys. And if one of my kids is going to the grocery store in our street, I just hang it around her neck, to make sure she doesn't lose or forget them! ;)
Yes, she's flashing that adorable little hart on her bottom here too! ;)
I think I will name her Dolly, after the first cloned sheep in the world. If you have an even better name for her, let me know in the comments below! ;)
Besides charms and lanyards, Tasty Peach Studios sells a collection of cute clothing, jewelry, other accessories like phone plugs, pins and hairclips, messenger bags, plushies (those are the cutest stuffed animals you've ever seen! Perfect to gift your daughter or little sister!) and, last but not least, the most awesome synthetic wigs, in all colors and models you've ever imagined!
And I do have more great news for you! Yes ma'am! ;) If you buy anything from Tasty Peach studio while using my personal discount code, you will get 20% discount! But you have to hurry up, because this code is only valid for 2 weeks! ;)
Use this code while checking out:
Natje20
This code is valid until October the 3rd, so use it while you still can!
You can also see their convention schedule, in case you would like to attend a convention and meet Ryan, the owner, and her team yourself! ;)
Tasty Peach Studios ships worldwide and they accept payments by PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Check this page for the current shipping fees and all information about payments, shipping, tracking codes and returning.
As for the delivery time, my package arrived approximately 2 weeks after receiving my tracking code, but Tasty Peach Studios is located in the USA and I'm living in Belgium, which means shipping is taking a normal amount of time. In my opinion, a 2 weeks wait isn't that long. It isn't considered to be not normal too. It takes time to ship items from one point to a whole other side of the world, so to me, it seems to be a perfect normal delivery time. If you live in the USA, your items will arrive faster, obviously! ;)
Big thanks to Ryan and Tasty Peach Studios for giving me this opportunity and a big thank you to you, my readers, for reading my post! ;)
Have a great day and have fun shopping! ;)
