Hi guys,

The following items were send to me for free, so I could review them. As always when I write a sponsored post, the fact that I received these for free, will not affect my opinion in any way!

After covering the topic of Asian skincare earlier this month, it's time to introduce the world to some more cute Asian things. You gotta love the Asian culture, right? ;)

Do you guys know Tasty Peach Studios? Tasty Peach Studios is the cutest webshop you've ever seen, I promise you that! ;) Think cute, sweet, adorable and kawaii! But what is "kawaii" exactly?

According to Wikipedia, the word kawaii means lovable, cute or adorable. The word is used in the Japanese culture to measure the quality of cuteness and became a prominent aspect of Japanese popular culture, entertainment, clothing, food, toys, personal appearance and behavior. The original definition of kawaii came from Lady Murasaki, a Japanese novelist and poet. (Lady Murasaki also was the Japanese aunt of Hannibal Lecter in the movie "Hannibal Rising", by the way. Just a quick fact in between! ;) Haha!) but as the years went by, the word kawaii was being used more often to describe cute handwritings and cute merchandise in the 70's, 80's and later on. The kawaii style is known for the large eyes, the cheerful colors, the happiness and, of course, the overal cuteness. Think Hello Kitty and Pokemon, to give you some examples. Click on the Wikipedia link above to learn more about Kawaii.

Tasty Peach Studios, located in Mishawaka, Indiana, is the leader distributor in cute products. It's a sweet, unique boutique that sells cute merchandise inspired by Japan. They started out selling small hand made clay charms and commissioned artwork through their little Etsy shop in 2007. Since then they have grown exponentially. They now attend upwards of 30+ anime conventions a year & ship high quality acrylic items, professionally made products and more world wide every day.

I had the chance to choose a charm and a lanyard of their accessories collection and I can't wait to show you all that cuteness! ;)

Charms and lanyards aren't typically what I normally review here at Reviewed By Natje, but because of the overwhelming cuteness of the webshop, and my obsession with Asian things and kawaii, I decided to make an exception this time.

Look at that! ;)

Hi everyone,

Last week I was quite struck by some very nasty flu. Fever, headache, sore throat, muscle aches, coughing, sneezing, sniffling, a painful skin and hot to the touch, chills, cold, hot, you know how it is ... Very annoying.
Plus, my nephew deceased last weak, he was 14 years old and has unfortunately deceased after a severe epileptic attack (he was also severely autistic, so the educators of the institution where he stayed, unfortunately failed to make him take his medication) and last Saturday, on Valentine's Day, my family said goodbye to him. Me, I was unable to go, it really was a very unwelcome flu. I still had a fever. Needless to say that I have a very bad week... It was awful!
We all miss him, but life goes on, they say, so that's what we should do, continue with our lives, but 2 deaths in our family, in just a year's time, it does something to a person ... This friday, it's just a year ago that my grandfather died ... Unbelievable!
Anyway, life goes on and I finally overcomed that flu, so it was time to reintroduce myself to my personal computer and continue with the reviews that I had to place aside when I was sick and mourning. Today I have a cute and colorful gadget for you! :)

Mobilefun, an international leader in the online sale of mobile phone accessories, gave me the chance to test out the Mipow Playbulb Candle and today, I like to tell all of you some more about this inventive candle.
